Nancy Smeltzer
Is the Woman Who Paints
Nancy spent more than 25 years as a writer and editor in the United States and Japan.
When she put down her pen, she picked up a paintbrush and went looking for pictures the way she used to hunt down a good story.
Chiseled cowboys, vintage VW buses, and Eastern seaboard beaches are some of her subjects.
Nancy's art can be seen in public spaces in her home base of Columbus, Ohio, including at the Columbus Convention Center and Hilton Hotel.
With her husband EJ, Nancy road trips without a map, taking her sketchbooks, watercolors, and paintbrushes wherever the road leads her.
She calls these trips Bird Dog Travels and chronicles them here on her blog.
